Position yourself as the expert. Skip the 300-hour writing slog.

The Authority Book That Closes for You

You don't write a word yourself. We interview you across the first two or three weeks of the project, capture how you actually think and talk, and deliver a publication-ready book in 8 to 12 weeks. The exact timing depends on how quickly you turn around feedback at the outline and manuscript checkpoints. The book sounds like you on your sharpest day.

Book a Call

Your time on this is interviews and reviews. You don't write a word yourself. Total project timeline runs 8 to 12 weeks for most projects, depending on your feedback turnaround. Compare that to the 300 to 500 hours most authors put into writing themselves, or the 12 to 18 months full-service ghostwriting providers run.

What we deliver, what stays on your side.

What we deliver

A conversation where we pull the book concept from what you say. Two or three book concept options for you to pick from. Structured interviews to capture how you think and talk. The outline you approve before writing starts. A finished manuscript that sounds like you. A sourcing trail for any external claims, statistics, or citations the book uses. Editorial review on the production side.

What stays on your side

Final factual verification against your expertise and any external sources. As the author of record, the final call on facts is yours. Final QA against your house preferences. Publishing setup is included on Signature and Legacy and stays on your side for Foundation.

How These Packages Compare

Traditional nonfiction ghostwriting runs $10,000 to $50,000 or more, according to published service pricing. That number covers the manuscript alone. The best-known full-service authority-book providers charge $25,000 on the low end and well past $100,000 at the high end for what they bundle together.

Path Cost Author Time Timeline
DIY (write it yourself) Your time only 300-500 hours A year of weekends
Coaching tier $5,000 - $15,000 300-500 hours (same as DIY) Months of cohort sessions
Full-service authority shops $25,000 - $100,000+ A year of meetings 12-18 months
Orchestrate Foundation $7,000 Interviews + reviews 8-12 weeks
Orchestrate Signature $10,000 Interviews + reviews 8-12 weeks + launch
Orchestrate Legacy $12,000 Interviews + reviews 8-12 weeks + playbook

Our authority book packages deliver the same scope as the high-end authority shops at a fraction of their price. Foundation starts at $7,000 for a complete manuscript. Signature at $10,000 takes the book live on every major platform. Legacy at $12,000 wraps a marketing playbook and launch strategy around the published book.

What Makes These Books Different

A book that sounds like you
interviews capture your real voice

Most ghostwritten books read like the writer, not the author. We capture how you actually think and talk through structured interviews, then build the manuscript on top of your voice. Your readers should feel like they're listening to you, on your sharpest day, on the topic you know best.

Eight to twelve weeks
instead of a year of weekends

We deliver a finished authority book in 8 to 12 weeks. You talk through your material in a few interview sessions. We produce the book. Your time on it is conversation and feedback, not writing. The exact timing depends on how quickly you turn around feedback at the outline and manuscript checkpoints.

Closes deals without you in the room
authority that travels

Hand a prospect your book at the end of a meeting and let them read your thinking on their own time. The book carries your frameworks and your expertise into rooms you'll never sit in. A published book is a credibility signal social media can't replicate.

A working publisher runs every project
judgment on every page

Lauren brainstorms, shapes, directs, and edits every manuscript from start to finish. You get a book produced under publisher judgment on every page, not handoff between three or four freelancers who never spoke to each other.

Business Owner FAQ

What does the interview process look like?

We run structured interview sessions, usually three to five conversations spread across the first two or three weeks of the project. Each session is 60 to 90 minutes. Lauren leads the interviews directly, and the focus is on capturing how you actually think and talk about the subject, not running you through a generic questionnaire. Sessions are recorded so the manuscript can be built on your real language and your real frameworks.

How much of my time does this actually take?

You don't write a word yourself. The author commitment is interview sessions across the first two or three weeks of the project, plus your review of the outline and the manuscript at their respective checkpoints. Total project timeline runs 8 to 12 weeks for Foundation and Signature, depending on how quickly you turn around feedback at each checkpoint. Legacy runs a bit longer because the marketing playbook adds development time on top of the production work.

Who owns the rights to my book?

You own the manuscript, the ISBN registered in your name, and every publication right. Your name goes on the cover, and Orchestrate Publishing holds no rights once the book is delivered. Copyright footing varies by engagement type under current US Copyright Office guidance, and authority-book manuscripts sit on the stronger side of that footing because you supply the story, the frameworks, and the expertise through interviews. What we capture and shape is your authorship. If copyright certainty matters for a specific use case, run the final contract past your own attorney before signing.

Do you handle Amazon KDP setup?

Signature and Legacy include the full publishing setup. That covers Amazon KDP, an ISBN registered in your name, your Amazon author page, the book description copywriting for your listing, and the cover and interior files going live for sale. Foundation delivers a finished manuscript ready for your final QA and publishing setup, and leaves the publishing infrastructure to you. If you start with Foundation and decide later you want the publishing setup handled, we can scope that as an add-on.

What's in the Legacy marketing playbook?

A custom plan for turning the book into business-development outcomes. That includes Amazon listing optimization for your category, a launch timeline tuned to your audience, a lead magnet built from material in the book, and a plan for turning the book into speaking opportunities, consulting positioning, and lead generation. The playbook is built around your audience and your goals, not a template applied across every Legacy client.

How many rounds of revisions are included?

Revisions are included across every Business Owner package. You approve the outline before we write a word of the manuscript, and you review the completed draft with revision rounds built in. Nothing gets finalized until you've signed off on the final version, and no revision work is billed at the end.

What is the sourcing trail?

The sourcing trail is a deliverable we ship with your manuscript that lists every external claim, statistic, and citation the book uses alongside the source it was drawn from. Most of an authority book runs on your own expertise, and those facts you verify yourself because the answer lives in your head. For external claims and citations the book references, the sourcing trail gives your team the materials to verify each one against the original source. The final go on facts stays with you as the author of record.

How can I see how you think about quality before I commit?

Get the Publishable Nonfiction Standard. It's the 9-bar framework we build every manuscript to, written by Lauren. Read it and you'll see exactly how we think about quality, how we evaluate it, and what we hold every project to. Free, no obligation.

What if I've already started writing my book?

Plenty of our Business Owner clients started on their own and hit a wall. Maybe you have a rough draft, a chapter or two that work, or a folder of notes that never resolved into structure. We pick up from wherever you are. The interview process incorporates what you've already produced, the outline gets built around the parts that work, and the manuscript comes out as a finished book you can publish.
